Three years later, Sour continues to dominate, amassing millions of streams daily. It has just achieved another groundbreaking milestone: the album’s ninth track, “Jealousy, Jealousy,” has surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify. This makes Sour the first album in Spotify history to feature seven tracks with over 1 billion streams: “Drivers License,” “Good 4 U,” “Deja Vu,” “Traitor,” “Happier,” “Favorite Crime,” and now, “Jealousy, Jealousy.” Notably, the latter two were never released as singles, highlighting the album’s enduring appeal and cultural impact.
As of November 2024, Sour remains the most-streamed album by a female artist and ranks fourth overall in Spotify history. It is also on track to become the first album by a female artist to hit 14 billion streams.
Olivia’s sophomore album GUTS, released in September 2023, further solidified her meteoric rise. With a more experimental sound, GUTS debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and received widespread critical acclaim. Tracks like “Vampire” and “Bad Idea Right?” quickly became fan-favorites.
