ROSÉ stood visibly emotional as BLACKPINK brought their DEADLINE World Tour to a close on January 26 at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong. The final night marked the end of a six-month global run and a significant chapter in the group’s career—one that blended reunion and renewal after a period of individual focus.
Addressing the crowd during the closing moments of the show, ROSÉ paused to acknowledge both the scale of the tour and the longer road that led there. “Tonight is a celebration of this whole journey we’ve put on for the past six months, and if anything, for the past almost like 10 years.”
Her words carried particular weight. The DEADLINE Tour marked BLACKPINK’s return to full-scale stadium performances following the Born Pink World Tour (2022–2023) and a period defined by solo growth. Across 33 sold-out shows in Asia, Europe, and North America, the group reaffirmed its position as one of K-pop’s most dominant live acts.
ROSÉ continued by urging fans to remain present in the moment. “We need to take in every single moment,” she said, “because we’re gonna be missing this atmosphere for a while. I must say, it has been an absolute honour and privilege to be performing in front of so many of you through so many nights.”
The speech captured the tone of the night. While celebratory, it was also quietly reflective. LISA, JENNIE, and JISOO were also seen holding back tears, a clear sign that BLINKs may have to wait a long time before seeing the group share the stage again.
The DEADLINE Tour opened on July 5, 2025, with two shows at Goyang Stadium in South Korea, where BLACKPINK premiered their comeback single “Jump.” From there, the tour expanded to major venues including SoFi Stadium, Soldier Field, Rogers Stadium, and Tokyo Dome, underscoring the group’s sustained global demand.
For ROSÉ, the tour arrived at a peak moment in her individual career. Her debut solo album Rosie became a commercial breakthrough, led by the international hit “APT.” featuring Bruno Mars.
The closing of DEADLINE also comes exactly one month before the group’s highly anticipated new project. BLACKPINK are preparing to release their new mini album, Deadline, on February 27. The project will mark their first collective release since Born Pink. “Jump,” already confirmed for the tracklist, debuted at No. 1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts, extending the group’s record-setting run. The song later won Best Digital Song at the 40th Golden Disc Awards.
Insight into the album has largely come from the members themselves. In a recent Apple Music interview with Zane Lowe, ROSÉ described the upcoming era as a reset shaped by time apart. “I am obsessed with ‘Jump.’ I love this new era of BLACKPINK,” she said, hinting at a funkier, more instinctive direction. LISA echoed the sentiment, teasing fans with a simple promise: “There’s something for you guys coming.”
YG Entertainment has confirmed that Deadline was completed late last year, with all four members filming a new music video across October and November. While details remain tightly controlled, expectations are high for a pre-release single ahead of the album’s launch. As of now, Deadline ranks as the 10th most pre-saved album on Spotify, with over 300,000 fans having added it to their libraries.
