Of these 100 billion streams, 99 billion come from her lead artist credits, while 1 billion are from songs where she is a featured artist. This means that Taylor is only 1 billion streams away from becoming the first artist in history to surpass 100 billion streams as a lead artist. Overall, she joins Drake as one of only two artists to achieve this feat. The Canadian rapper currently has over 110 billion streams.
This is just the latest addition to Taylor Swift’s impressive list of records. Her eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, shattered multiple streaming records upon its release in 2024. The album broke Spotify’s record for the most streams in a single day, amassing over 300 million streams on its first full day. It also became the fastest album to reach 1 billion streams, achieving the milestone in just a week—both records previously held by Taylor herself with Midnights.
The 35-year-old, multi–Grammy-winning singer is also the most-followed female artist on Spotify, with 132.9 million followers, and the second most-followed overall—Indian singer Arijit Singh leads with 138 million. Additionally, Taylor is the first artist ever to surpass 20 billion and 25 billion streams in a single year twice (2023 and 2024).
