October 2025 brought us a massive wave of new music. Leading the charge was none other than Taylor Swift. The pop superstar unleashed her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. Led by the smash hit “The Fate of Ophelia,” the LP broke an array of streaming, sales, and chart records, cementing its place among the biggest albums in history.
Over the past month, several artists made notable comebacks. Demi Lovato returned with It’s Not That Deep, an album that sees her re-embracing her dance-pop roots. Lily Allen surprise-released West End Girl, her first full-length project in years — an emotionally charged record packed with standout tracks. Tame Impala and Florence + The Machine also returned to the spotlight with their respective new albums.
As tradition dictates, we rank several new albums every week, and at the end of the month, we round up the best releases based on the scores assigned. Below is the complete list for October 2025.
