Tyler, The Creator is celebrating the one-year anniversary of his acclaimed album CHROMAKOPIA with a special surprise for fans. On Tuesday (October 28), the rapper and producer released CHROMAKOPIA+, a new digital edition of the project featuring the previously vinyl-exclusive track “MOTHER.” The song was originally available only on the rare Test Pressing V1 vinyl.
Alongside the release, Tyler reflected on the creative journey behind CHROMAKOPIA and revealed that he had once considered it to be his final album—at least for a while. In a message shared on social media, he wrote: “I was planning on this being my last album for a VERY long time. Release it. Do the big tour. Go disappear and only pop out for movie roles. See what a life is like without work being top of mind.”
Those plans, however, didn’t last long. Less than a year after CHROMAKOPIA, Tyler surprised fans in the summer of 2025 with his ninth studio album, Don’t Tap the Glass. The project received widespread acclaim and produced hit singles like “Ring Ring Ring” and “Sugar on My Tongue.”
