Young Thug is back in the spotlight with the release of his emotional new single “Man I Miss My Dogs,” a seven-minute track that sets the stage for his upcoming album UY Scuti. The song, released September 11, has already sparked conversation across the rap world thanks to Thug’s heartfelt address to Drake, putting an end to speculation about tension between the two stars.

On the record, Thug makes his loyalty clear: “Drizzy, you my brother. You know I ain’t going against you. Everything you did for the rap community can’t ban you, never diss you…” The lines read as both a reassurance and a public statement of solidarity, coming at a time when Drake has faced criticism and shifting alliances within hip-hop.

Drake and Young Thug have teamed up on numerous tracks over the years, producing some of hip-hop’s biggest hits, often alongside Atlanta producers like Metro Boomin. Key collaborations include “Sacrifices” (2016) from Drake’s Views album, “Pick Up the Phone” (2016) from Thug’s Slime Season 3, “Way 2 Sexy” (2021) from Drake’s Certified Lover Boy, and “Oh U Went” and “Parade on Cleveland” from Thug’s Business Is Business (2023).

The single carries extra weight as it arrives in the buildup to UY Scuti, set for release on September 19. This will be Thug’s fourth studio album and his first full-length since Business Is Business in 2023. More importantly, it marks his first major project since his release from jail in late 2024 after a lengthy RICO case.
