Miley Cyrus has officially confirmed what fans have been speculating for months: a Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special is coming. The one-off event will premiere March 24 on Disney+. It will feature an interview with Miley Cyrus, hosted by Alex Cooper.

Cyrus shared the news with a brief 15-second teaser posted across her social platforms.

The announcement follows weeks of careful hints. In January, while attending the 37th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards, Cyrus told Variety that anniversary plans were “in the works.” Pressed for details, she offered a playful clue: “You see the bangs.” For longtime viewers, the reference was unmistakable. The hairstyle became synonymous with the early seasons of Hannah Montana, which aired from 2006 to 2011 and reshaped Disney Channel’s global footprint.

Interest in the franchise has only grown as the 20-year milestone approaches. The original series did more than produce hit soundtracks and a successful concert tour. It introduced Cyrus as Miley Stewart, a teenager balancing ordinary life with pop superstardom as her alter ego, Hannah Montana.

Cyrus has previously made clear that any tribute must feel intentional. She has dismissed speculation about a reboot that would sideline her involvement, stating firmly that there is only one Hannah.
