Taylor Swift is expanding the world of “I Knew It, I Knew You.” Just hours after releasing her original song for Toy Story 5, the 36-year-old pop superstar unveiled an accompanying music video, available now exclusively to Apple Music and Spotify Premium subscribers.
The visual arrives as the latest chapter in Swift’s collaboration with Disney and Pixar, pairing the emotional ballad with scenes from the upcoming animated film. Throughout the clip, viewers are treated to a mix of new Toy Story 5 footage centered on Jessie and Buzz Lightyear, alongside appearances from several beloved toys from the franchise’s nearly three-decade history.
Rather than creating a traditional performance-driven video, Swift and Disney opted for a cinematic approach that places the film’s characters at the forefront. The result functions as both a music video and an extended preview of Toy Story 5, which is set to arrive in theaters on June 19.
The release continues a strategy Swift has increasingly embraced throughout 2026. Earlier this year, the music video for “Elizabeth Taylor” debuted exclusively on Spotify Premium and Apple Music before becoming available elsewhere. A similar rollout was used for “Opalite,” whose visual premiered on streaming platforms on February 6 before later reaching YouTube.
That approach has become increasingly significant since January 16, when YouTube views stopped contributing toward the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 following the conclusion of Billboard’s longstanding partnership with the platform. As a result, major artists have begun experimenting with release models that prioritize premium streaming ecosystems, where music consumption directly impacts chart performance.
“I Knew It, I Knew You” itself has already generated substantial attention following weeks of carefully orchestrated teasers involving Disney, Pixar, and Swift’s own digital platforms. The song, released June 5 through Walt Disney Records, was written and produced by Swift alongside longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff after she attended an early screening of Toy Story 5. Inspired by Jessie’s emotional journey across the franchise, the track blends Swift’s country storytelling roots with the songwriting style that has defined her recent work.
