Drake’s commercial run just hit another historic peak. Less than 24 hours after surprise-releasing ICEMAN alongside companion projects Maid of Honour and Habibti on May 15, the rapper posted one of the biggest streaming debuts in Spotify history, dominating both the platform’s global chart and its all-time records.

According to Spotify, ICEMAN opened with 140.2 million first-day streams globally, instantly becoming the biggest album debut of 2026 and the second-largest hip-hop debut ever on the platform, trailing only Drake’s own Certified Lover Boy. The Toronto rapper now officially holds the two biggest rap album debuts in Spotify history.

The scale of the rollout already looked massive before the numbers arrived. Drake spent months teasing the ICEMAN era through cinematic livestreams, cryptic Toronto installations, and viral promotional stunts, culminating in a triple-album release that delivered 43 new tracks across hip-hop, trap, melodic rap, dancehall, and club-focused production. Within hours, all three projects surged simultaneously across Apple Music, iTunes, and Spotify charts worldwide.

ICEMAN led the charge with nearly 140 million streams, while Maid of Honour followed with 29.1 million and Habibti debuted with 27.61 million. Combined, the three albums generated well over 196 million Spotify streams in a single day.

Spotify also confirmed that Drake became the most-streamed male artist in a single day in the platform’s history after reportedly surpassing 250 million total streams globally on May 15. Earlier in the day, Spotify announced that Drake had already broken three separate 2026 records, including the most-streamed artist, album, and song in a single day this year.

That song was “Make Them Cry,” the explosive opening track from ICEMAN, which debuted at No. 1 on the Daily Global Spotify Chart with 13.2 million streams. The total officially broke the all-time record for the biggest streaming day ever for a hip-hop song on Spotify, surpassing Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”

The rest of the chart painted an equally overwhelming picture. Drake occupied the entire top four globally, while nearly every track across the three albums debuted simultaneously inside Spotify’s worldwide rankings. “Dust” followed at No. 2 with 10.9 million streams, while “Ran To Atlanta” featuring Future and Molly Santana landed at No. 3 with 10.8 million. “Whisper My Name” and “Janice STFU” completed the top five.

Elsewhere, “National Treasures,” “Shabang,” “Make Them Pay,” and “2 Hard 4 The Radio” all surpassed seven million daily streams individually. Tracks from Maid of Honour and Habibti also posted major debuts, including “WNBA,” “Road Trips,” “Which One” featuring Central Cee, and “Fortworth” with PARTYNEXTDOOR.

The streaming explosion extends beyond Spotify alone. ICEMAN, Maid of Honour, and Habibti simultaneously occupied the entire top three of the U.S. Apple Music albums chart within hours of release, while Drake also became the first artist in history to control all top 30 positions on U.S. Apple Music’s song chart. At one point, he held 43 of the platform’s top 50 songs simultaneously.
