The long-simmering tension between T.I. and 50 Cent has erupted into a full-scale online feud, playing out across Instagram and X. What began as a competitive challenge has quickly turned personal, drawing in family members and reigniting unresolved accusations from years past.
At the center of the dispute is a proposed Verzuz battle. T.I., also known as Tip, has publicly challenged 50 Cent to a hit-for-hit showdown, claiming in recent interviews — including an appearance on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast — that 50 privately agreed before retreating once the request became public. According to T.I., that reversal cost 50 his respect. In multiple posts, he labeled the situation “lame” and stated he no longer has interest in sharing a stage.
50 Cent has not confirmed agreeing to the battle, but he has responded in his characteristic fashion: trolling. The Queens rapper posted a controversial image of T.I.’s wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, accompanied by a pointed caption warning Tip to keep his name out of his mouth. The move immediately shifted the tone of the exchange. What had been competitive bravado now felt personal.
The escalation did not stop there. T.I.’s son, King Harris, entered the conversation with posts widely interpreted as targeting 50 Cent’s late mother, Sabrina Jackson. The remarks drew backlash online, with many fans arguing that references to family members crossed a line. Others noted that 50 Cent has a long history of involving relatives in social media disputes, citing past feuds as precedent.
Amid the back-and-forth, T.I. responded with music. He released a new diss track titled “War,” signaling readiness for what he framed as lyrical warfare. In promotional posts, he declared, “Oh you want war? Aight… we on that,” positioning the record as both a response and a warning.
Beyond the immediate exchanges, the feud revisits older accusations. 50 Cent has previously referenced T.I.’s legal history, at times suggesting cooperation with authorities — claims T.I. has consistently denied. In recent statements, he asserted that he has “paperwork” of his own, hinting at counterclaims without releasing documentation.
Shortly after the first diss track, T.I. doubled down with another song, “Right One,” aimed at 50 Cent. “Now say sum’ else… Right One,” he wrote.
As of February 23, the story is still developing. Check back for further updates.
