aespa are setting the stage for their next era. The group has officially announced their second studio album Lemonade, scheduled for release on May 29, alongside a first cinematic teaser.
Unveiled under SM Entertainment, the 32-second clip titled “LEMONADE INTRO – P.O.S: Singularity” introduces the project’s visual identity. It opens on a red-tinted dystopian landscape before shifting into a striking sequence of green-yellow liquid effects that morph into the glowing “LEMONADE” title. The teaser closes with aespa’s logo, offering no additional details.
Timing adds weight to the announcement. Aespa are currently wrapping up their third world tour, Synk: Aexis Line, which began on August 29, 2025, at KSPO Dome in Seoul and concludes on April 26, 2026, at Tokyo Dome. The album reveal arrives just days before the tour’s final stop.
Expectations remain high following the group’s recent run. Their first full-length album Armageddon, released on May 27, 2024, marked a commercial and critical breakthrough, surpassing 1.02 million pre-orders and topping China’s QQ Music digital album chart within hours. The project also secured major accolades, including wins at the Melon Music Awards and the Golden Disc Awards.
Momentum carried into 2025 with the Rich Man EP, which debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard 200, expanding aespa’s global reach while refining their sonic identity.
With Synk: Aexis Line closing in Tokyo and Lemonade arriving just over a month later, aespa are moving quickly into their next chapter.
