Drake has added another streaming milestone to his record-breaking career. On June 12, the Toronto superstar officially surpassed 100 million monthly listeners on Spotify for the first time, becoming just the second rapper ever to reach the landmark.
The achievement places Drake in exclusive company alongside Kendrick Lamar, who became the first rapper to cross the threshold during his historic 2025 run, reaching a peak of 112 million monthly listeners.
Beyond hip-hop, Drake now joins an elite group of global superstars who have reached nine-digit monthly listener figures. Bruno Mars currently holds the all-time record with a peak exceeding 150 million monthly listeners, while Ariana Grande leads among female artists with a reported peak of 146 million.
The timing is hardly surprising. Drake’s streaming surge arrives amid the continued success of his ICEMAN era, which has powered some of the biggest commercial numbers of 2026.
Upon release, ICEMAN debuted with 450.4 million global Spotify streams during its opening tracking week ending May 21. The figure stands as the second-largest streaming week of the year, trailing only BTS’ ARIRANG, which opened with more than 525 million streams. The project also finished as Spotify’s most-streamed album worldwide during its debut frame.
Historically, ICEMAN ranks among the biggest streaming launches ever recorded. The album posted the 13th-largest opening week in Spotify history and became one of the strongest debuts of Drake’s career. Within rap, only four albums have opened bigger: Travis Scott’s Utopia (456 million), Playboi Carti’s Music (490 million), Drake’s own Certified Lover Boy (497 million), and Scorpion, which remains the genre’s benchmark with 559 million first-week streams.
Its momentum has extended far beyond streaming. According to projections from Hits Daily Double, ICEMAN is expected to secure a fourth consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with roughly 137,000 equivalent album units earned.
