JENNIE is looking back on a defining summer with gratitude. Following her final performance at Summer Sonic 2026, the BLACKPINK star shared an emotional message thanking fans, dancers, band members, crew, and staff after completing a three-month festival run across Europe, North America, and Asia.

The K-pop idol posted a series of behind-the-scenes photos from her Summer Sonic weekend on Instagram, accompanied by a lengthy caption reflecting on the highs and lows of the past few months. Addressing fans directly, JENNIE wrote, “Thank you guys for all the love and energy you’ve shared with me at every festival over these past three months. It’s hard to put into words how much I’ve experienced, learned, and grown along the way.”

Rather than focusing solely on the successes, she acknowledged the unexpected challenges that shaped the journey. “Not everything is going to be perfect, and maybe it’s not supposed to be,” she wrote, adding that even the difficult moments helped her grow. JENNIE said she hopes everyone can “look back on all of it with love” while carrying the lessons and memories into whatever comes next.

The message also highlighted the people behind every performance. Thanking her crew, staff, band, dancers, directors, and production team, she expressed appreciation for their “endless hard work” and passion throughout the demanding festival schedule. She closed the post with a simple but meaningful farewell: “I’m leaving this chapter with so much love, gratitude, and inspiration… Until the next.”

Her reflection comes after headlining the 25th-anniversary edition of Summer Sonic, where she performed in Tokyo on August 14 and Osaka on August 16. The appearances marked both her first solo performances at the festival and the conclusion of an extensive festival season that also included Governors Ball, Roskilde, Open’er, Mad Cool, and Lollapalooza.

The Osaka performance proved especially memorable. Despite microphone issues and an outfit malfunction caused by the intense heat, JENNIE continued the show, briefly borrowing one of her dancer’s tops before returning to the stage. She later apologized to the audience while visibly emotional, earning widespread praise from fans for finishing the performance despite the setbacks.

The emotional post arrives only weeks after JENNIE released “Less Than a Lover,” one of the biggest solo hits of her career. The self-written and self-composed single debuted with 2.261 million Spotify streams, reached No. 1 on iTunes in at least 27 countries, snd topped YouTube’s worldwide trending music videos chart.
