Ariana Grande is back with the highly anticipated new album “Eternal Sunshine,” and it definitely didn’t disappoint! The album blends Pop and R&B genres, with a touch of Dance Music that can be heard also in the lead single “Yes, And?”, a song that is not in Ariana’s top three and “is the one that lives on its own.” We can’t agree more as the album features some incredible tracks, keeping listeners delighted with each song. Ariana described the record as a sort of concept album, as each song is a piece of the same story and the same experience.
Less than 24 hours after its release, “Eternal Sunshine” has already received critical acclaim, with a score of 84 out of 100.
The album opens with “Intro (End of the World),” in which Ariana’s angelic voice accompanies the listener for less than two minutes, setting the stage for the rest of the album. She sings “How can I tell if I’m in the right relationship? Aren’t you really s’posed to know that shit?“, questioning if she has found the right person. The album closes out in the sweetest way, with Ariana’s grandmother Marjorie, featured as Nonna, who answers Ariana’s questions in the intro with the following words: “And as I told her, never go to bed without kissin’ goodnight. That’s the worst thing to do, don’t ever, ever do that. And if you can’t, and if you don’t feel comfortable doing it. You’re in the wrong place, get out.”
