Ariana Grande’s long-awaited return to the stage begins tonight. More than two years after Eternal Sunshine arrived and nearly seven years after the Sweetener World Tour concluded, the pop superstar officially launches the Eternal Sunshine Tour on June 6 at Oakland Arena, kicking off one of the most anticipated live events of 2026.
The 41-date arena trek supports Eternal Sunshine, the Grammy-nominated album that produced hits including “yes, and?” and “we can’t be friends (wait for your love).” While Grande spent much of the past two years balancing music with her role in Wicked and Wicked: For Good, demand for her return to touring never faded. By the time tickets went on sale in September 2025, millions of fans were competing for seats across North America and Europe.
When Does the Ariana Grande Eternal Sunshine Tour Start?
Ariana Grande’s Eternal Sunshine Tour 2026 officially opens tonight at Oakland Arena in California. From there, the production travels across the United States and Canada before heading to Europe, where it concludes on September 1 at London’s O2 Arena.
The opening night carries particular significance. Grande has not embarked on a full-scale concert tour since the Sweetener World Tour wrapped in December 2019, making tonight her first headline tour performance in nearly seven years.
Eternal Sunshine Tour Dates and Schedule
The Eternal Sunshine Tour dates include 41 shows across North America and Europe. Major stops include Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, Paris, Amsterdam, and London.
Demand proved extraordinary from the moment tickets became available. According to tour organizers, more than six million users attempted to secure tickets during presales, including roughly one million fans targeting the Oakland and Los Angeles markets alone. Several additional dates were added after the initial announcement, while London ultimately expanded to 10 nights due to overwhelming demand.
Why Ticket Demand Became So Massive
Part of the frenzy stems from Grande’s lengthy touring hiatus. Throughout 2024 and much of 2025, the singer repeatedly emphasized that acting commitments limited her ability to tour extensively.
Those expectations shifted in July 2025 when Grande hinted on social media that she planned to sing for fans again in 2026. A month later, Live Nation officially announced the Eternal Sunshine Tour.
Ticketmaster and SeatGeek experienced significant traffic issues during presales, with fans reporting lengthy queues and technical difficulties. Resale prices quickly surged into the thousands of dollars for some cities, prompting Grande to publicly criticize scalpers and encourage face-value resales whenever possible.
What Will the Eternal Sunshine Tour Setlist Look Like?
The official Eternal Sunshine Tour setlist remains unknown until opening night. However, fans expect the show to heavily feature Eternal Sunshine staples such as “yes, and?,” “we can’t be friends (wait for your love),” “the boy is mine,” and “supernatural.”
Earlier eras will almost certainly play a major role as well. Tracks from Thank U, Next, Sweetener, Dangerous Woman, and Positions remain among the strongest performers across streaming platforms.
Adding even more intrigue is the timing. Grande is currently enjoying a new commercial peak thanks to the upcoming album petal, due July 31. Lead single “hate that i made you love me” debuted at No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart this week, becoming her eighth UK chart-topper and first in nearly six years. Released on May 29, the Max Martin collaboration generated 8.7 million Spotify streams on its first day, marking one of the biggest streaming launches of her career.
