Exactly five years after the release of his first posthumous project, Circles, Mac Miller’s new album, Balloonerism, has finally arrived. The LP was originally recorded over a decade ago, between 2013 and 2014, with Mac working on these tracks prior to the release of his mixtape Faces. Though the record remained unfinished during his lifetime, it has now seen the light of day, 11 years later, just days before what would have been his 33rd birthday.

Balloonerism is deeply experimental, blending neo-soul and jazz elements to reflect Mac’s signature knack for exploring new soundscapes. The album features 14 tracks, including the lead single, “5 Dollar Pony Rides.” Notable highlights include the third track, “DJ’s Chord Organ,” featuring vocals from SZA, and the final track, “Tomorrow Will Never Know,” an 11-minute composition that closes the album.

Check out InMusic’s ranking of all 14 tracks from Mac Miller’s Balloonerism below.
