Another year of great music is coming to an end. Since InMusic’s launch, we’ve put the power in fans’ hands, allowing them to pick their favorite song each month from a selection of sixteen tracks. This initiative not only reflects the trends in the music industry but also reveals what fans are truly listening to.

In 2024, we witnessed the meteoric rise of Sabrina Carpenter, who delivered anthems like “Espresso,” “Please Please Please,” and “Taste,” two of which were crowned Song of the Month. However, the undisputed queen of the year was Ariana Grande. The pop superstar was named InMusic’s Woman of the Century so far, and three of her new releases were voted best of the month—a record for 2024.

Overall, this year was defined by the so-called Pop Girlie Era, where female artists dominated the music scene. This trend was evident in our monthly polls, with female-led songs winning ten out of twelve times.

As 2024 comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to look back at all the tracks that claimed the title of Song of the Month. Check them out below!
