Lorde is officially back on the road. Following the release of her fourth studio album Virgin in June, the New Zealand singer-songwriter has announced the Ultrasound World Tour, set to take her across North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand in 2025. The tour begins tonight (September 17) and runs through December, making it her first global tour since the Solar Power Tour wrapped in Portugal in August 2023.
The Ultrasound World Tour comes on the heels of Virgin, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and gave Lorde her strongest sales week since 2017’s Melodrama. With singles like “What Was That,” “Man of the Year,” and “Hammer,” the album showcases a sharper, more experimental sound, departing from her previous album Solar Power.

The tour will feature an impressive lineup of support acts, including The Japanese House, Chanel Beads, Empress Of, Oklou, and Nilüfer Yanya. Lorde’s close collaborators and Virgin co-producers Blood Orange and Jim-E Stack will also join as opening acts.
Due to overwhelming demand, additional dates have already been added in Amsterdam, London, Washington, D.C., Nashville, and Minneapolis, with two extra shows confirmed in Brooklyn. On July 11, Lorde further expanded the schedule by announcing long-awaited Australian and New Zealand dates. The popstar will perform songs from her new album Virgin, but fans can also expect to hear her biggest hits, from “Royals” to “Green Light.”
In a newsletter sent to fans, Lorde described Ultrasound as her most ambitious live project yet: “Every show I play is a collaboration between you and me. We meet in a room and we make music together, our bodies and the machines in search of something bigger. I think that Ultrasound could be our masterpiece.”
