Megan Thee Stallion is setting her sights on one of music’s biggest stages. In a new interview with Us Weekly, the Grammy-winning rapper revealed she is manifesting a Super Bowl halftime show performance in the future. “I’m manifesting a Super Bowl halftime performance for myself,” she said. “The Hotties know I love to put on a show, so I would just want to turn the halftime show into a big party, come with some surprises, and put on for my city.”

The idea isn’t far-fetched. If Megan’s dream becomes reality, she would join a growing legacy of artists who’ve brought rap to mainstream pop culture’s grandest platform. In recent years, the Super Bowl halftime stage has increasingly embraced hip-hop, thanks to Roc Nation’s partnership with the NFL since 2019. Kendrick Lamar made history as the first solo rapper to headline the show earlier this year, performing his chart-topping hit “Not Like Us” and bringing out SZA. Before him, hip-hop icons such as Missy Elliott, Travis Scott, and Nelly made surprise appearances.

Meanwhile, Megan continues to build excitement around her next era. The Houston native recently released her latest single, “Lover Girl,” which samples Total’s 1990s R&B classic “Kissin’ You.” The song debuted at No. 38 on the Billboard Hot 100 and cracked the top 10 of the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The track is expected to appear on her highly anticipated upcoming project, Megan: Act III, the final installment in her trilogy.
