Olivia Rodrigo sent fans into a frenzy with her latest Instagram photo dump. The “Good 4 U” singer shared a series of recent photos, but what really captured fans’ attention was the caption—an emoji of a guitar followed by the word “soon.” While the message remains cryptic, many believe it could be a hint that new music is on the way. Additionally, one of the photos is completely black, leaving fans speculating about its meaning. “THE THIRD SLIDE BEING BLACK OR3 IS COMING,” one fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “So basically, the black screen means the beginning of something new, which means we will get that OR3 song tease,” another added.

This isn’t the first clue that Livies—Rodrigo’s dedicated fanbase—have spotted on her Instagram. Earlier this month, Olivia posted photos expressing her excitement for her upcoming Glastonbury performance and sharing how much she’s been enjoying her time in New York. One of the pictures shows a piano, but eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed a small but telling detail: the rug in the photo appears to be from Dan Nigro’s studio. Nigro, Rodrigo’s frequent collaborator, produced both of her albums, Sour and Guts.

Olivia Rodrigo released her sophomore album, Guts, in September 2023. The LP debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, earning 302,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. All 12 tracks charted in the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100, with “Vampire” reclaiming the No. 1 spot. The album also topped the charts in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. In March 2024, she released the deluxe edition of Guts, which included four new songs: “Obsessed,” “Scared of My Guitar,” “Stranger,” and “Girl I’ve Always Been.”
