Sabrina Carpenter has officially made UK chart history. Her sixth studio album, Short N’ Sweet, has become the solo studio album with the longest consecutive Top 5 run in the history of the UK Official Albums Chart.

Released less than a year ago, in August 2024, Short N’ Sweet has logged 43 consecutive weeks inside the Top 5, landing at No. 3 this week. The feat breaks the previous record of 42 weeks, held by Ed Sheeran’s 2021 album = (Equals). Overall, only two albums have spent more time in the region: Bridge Over Troubled Water (84 weeks) and Please Please Me (55 weeks).

This isn’t Sabrina Carpenter’s first chart milestone. Earlier this month, she also became the solo female artist with the longest uninterrupted Top 5 run, surpassing Shania Twain’s 1997 blockbuster Come On Over, which held the mark at 41 weeks.

Originally debuting at No. 1 in the UK, Short N’ Sweet has shown extraordinary staying power. The album spawned three UK No. 1 hits: “Espresso” (7 weeks), “Please Please Please” (5 weeks), and “Taste” (9 weeks). Three more tracks charted on the singles chart: “Bed Chem” (No. 6), “Juno” (No. 24), and “Busy Woman” (No. 6).

More recently, Sabrina entered her new era with the smash hit “Manchild,” which is currently No. 2 after debuting at No. 1 last week—marking her fourth UK chart-topper.
