Taylor Swift has scored another major chart victory in the United Kingdom. Her new single, “I Knew It, I Knew You,” has officially debuted at No. 1 on this week’s UK Official Singles Chart, becoming her seventh chart-topper in the country.

The achievement continues a remarkable commercial run for Swift and adds yet another milestone to a release that has already dominated streaming platforms, digital sales, and international charts since its June 5 arrival.

“I Knew It, I Knew You” now joins an elite group of Swift UK No. 1 hits that includes “Look What You Made Me Do” (2017), “Anti-Hero” (2022), “Is It Over Now? (Taylor’s Version)” (2023), “Fortnight” (2024), “The Fate of Ophelia” (2025), and “Opalite” (2025).

With seven UK No. 1 singles, Swift moves further up the all-time rankings and now stands alongside music giants Michael Jackson, George Michael, and U2, all of whom also earned seven chart-toppers on the Official Singles Chart.

The accomplishment carries additional significance given the competitive nature of the UK market in 2026. Swift becomes the first international artist to score two No. 1 singles in the UK this year after “Opalite” reached the summit in February. The only other act to achieve multiple chart-toppers in 2026 is Harry Styles, who topped the chart with “Aperture” and later returned to No. 1 with “American Girls.”

The UK success arrives just days after “I Knew It, I Knew You” generated headlines for its record-breaking streaming debut. According to Spotify, the song became the biggest single-day streaming debut for a country song by a female artist on June 5, less than 24 hours after release.

Written and produced by Swift alongside longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff, the track serves as the centerpiece of Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 soundtrack. Inspired by Jessie’s emotional journey throughout the beloved franchise, the song marks a return to country-leaning storytelling.

Streaming momentum has been matched by strong sales performance. The song immediately climbed to No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes Songs Chart and emerged as one of the most discussed releases of the summer following an extensive promotional campaign involving Disney, Pixar, and Swift’s team.

That rollout included Toy Story-themed billboards, cryptic social media clues, cloud-inspired countdowns, Empire State Building projections, and a music video incorporating scenes from Toy Story 5 alongside footage centered on Jessie, Buzz Lightyear, and other iconic characters from the franchise.

Swift also reflected on the project shortly after its release, describing the experience as both familiar and creatively challenging. “Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time,” she wrote. “Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once.”
