The Weeknd continues to cement his legacy as a powerhouse in the music industry. Despite his last album, Dawn FM, being released in 2022, the Canadian star remains one of the most-streamed artists of 2024 and is the first male artist to reach 10 billion streams on Spotify this year. Thanks to the continuous success of iconic albums like After Hours and Starboy, The Weeknd has kept up massive daily streaming numbers, boosted even further by his recent singles “Dancing in the Flames” and “Timeless” from his upcoming album Hurry Up Tomorrow.

Breaking records on Spotify is nothing new for the 34-year-old singer. He holds the all-time record for peak monthly listeners, surpassing 113 million, and his hit “Blinding Lights” remains the most-streamed song ever on the platform. Currently in Australia for the final leg of his After Hours Til Dawn tour, The Weeknd has been performing his greatest hits alongside teasers from Hurry Up Tomorrow. While the album release date is still under wraps, it will conclude the trilogy that began with After Hours and Dawn FM.
