Zayn is extending the Konnakol era just days after its release. The former One Direction member has quietly rolled out a deluxe edition of his fifth studio album, adding two new tracks while keeping the release limited to his official web store.

Announced via his fandom platform inZayn, KONNAKOL (Deluxe) introduces “Bad For You” and “Raise the Dead” as surprise additions to the April 17 project. The digital edition is currently priced at $7.99 and available exclusively through his webshop, signaling a direct-to-fan strategy rather than a wide streaming push.

Zayn’s original album arrived alongside an unexpected personal setback, as the singer revealed he was recovering in hospital after what he described as a “long and difficult week.” The update came on the same day Konnakol launched, immediately reshaping the album’s promotional cycle. Scheduled appearances, including a spot on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on April 21, were canceled, along with several fan events.

Despite the disruption, the project itself marks a clear artistic shift. Konnakol leans into a more refined pop structure while drawing from South Asian musical traditions, with its title referencing a form of vocal percussion. The album has been framed as a deeply personal body of work, exploring identity through both sound and visual symbolism, including the recurring snow leopard motif.
