Drake has sparked fresh speculation about an upcoming music video after fans spotted the rapper filming on the water at dusk. Shaky handheld footage shows Drake standing on a bright lime-green boat, surrounded by camera cranes and support vessels, as a production appeared to be underway.
The clip, shared with the question “What’s @champagnepapi cookin?”, immediately fueled theories that Drake could be preparing new visuals. The timing is especially intriguing with September 15 approaching, the date already attached to his mysterious Fear of Missing Out release on YouTube.

Drake announced Fear of Missing Out on September 3, confirming that something connected to the title will arrive on YouTube at 9 p.m. on September 15. He has not revealed whether the project is a new song, music video, short film or another visual release, leaving the format deliberately unclear.
The mystery began August 21, when Drake posted a photo of a CD jewel case labeled “FEAR OF MISSING OUT” alongside a camera emoji. That image prompted immediate speculation that the Toronto rapper was working on a visual project, although no additional details were provided at the time.
Drake has maintained a busy release schedule throughout 2026. On May 15, he simultaneously released ICEMAN, Habibti and Maid of Honour, producing a rare Billboard 200 result in which all three projects occupied the chart’s top three positions. ICEMAN debuted at No. 1 with 463,000 equivalent album units, followed by Habibti at No. 2 and Maid of Honour at No. 3.
ICEMAN has since surpassed 1.7 billion Spotify streams, while “Make Them Cry” became one of Drake’s biggest streaming records of the year. The rapper also recorded 2026’s largest single-day streaming total by an artist, keeping his name firmly at the center of the year’s streaming conversation.
His activity did not stop after the album campaign. Photos of Drake back inside The Embassy recording studio surfaced as he appeared to be working on new vocals, while an August livestream offered another possible clue about his plans. “These guys are dropping albums, like hello and goodbye, and careful with that reply cuz the pen isn’t dry,” he said, suggesting that he was still actively creating.
