Drake didn’t need a lengthy statement to mark another historic chapter in his career. Just hours after officially surpassing Michael Jackson to become the solo male artist with the most No. 1 hits in Billboard Hot 100 history, the Toronto superstar let Instagram do the talking with a cryptic post that quickly ignited reactions across social media.

Neck broke from carrying the chain / Back broke from carrying the game / Records broken carry on my name / Carry on carry on,” Drake wrote, sharing an edited photo of the King of Pop. The post arrived after a staggering Billboard week that saw the rapper rewrite multiple records in one of the most dominant chart performances ever recorded.

Earlier on the May 30, 2026-dated Billboard Hot 100, Drake secured his 14th career No. 1 with “Janice STFU,” officially breaking the tie he previously held with Michael Jackson for the most chart-topping songs among solo male artists in the chart’s 67-year history. The milestone now places him level with Rihanna and Taylor Swift, while Mariah Carey remains the only solo act ahead with 19 Hot 100 leaders.

According to Billboard, “Janice STFU” debuted atop the chart with 40.7 million opening-week streams, extending Drake’s unmatched record of 10 No. 1 debuts. Every one of his eight chart-toppers released this decade has entered directly at No. 1.

Still, that was only one piece of a record-setting week. Drake placed nine songs inside the Hot 100’s top 10 simultaneously, pushing his career total to 90 top 10 hits — widening his lead over Taylor Swift, who currently stands at 69. “Ran to Atlanta” featuring Future and Molly Santana launched at No. 2, followed by “Whisper My Name” at No. 3 and “Shabang” at No. 4, as tracks from his latest release flooded the chart’s highest positions.

The sheer scale of the takeover was equally historic. Drake logged 42 songs on this week’s Hot 100, surpassing Morgan Wallen’s previous single-week record of 37 set in May 2025. Forty of those entries debuted this frame, pushing his all-time Hot 100 appearances to an unprecedented 402 and making him the first artist ever to cross the 400-entry mark.

The Billboard 200 told a similarly dominant story. Released May 15 via OVO Sound and Republic Records, ICEMAN, HABIBTI, and MAID OF HONOUR debuted at Nos. 1, 2, and 3 respectively, making Drake the first artist in chart history to simultaneously occupy the top three spots on the albums tally.
