BTS have added another historic milestone to their comeback era, as ARIRANG has become the first album by a Korean act to spend 12 weeks inside the top 10 of the Billboard 200. The achievement extends the group’s long-running dominance on the U.S. albums chart and adds yet another record to one of the most successful comeback campaigns in music history.

The milestone comes just over three months after ARIRANG debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 following its March 20, 2026 release through Big Hit Music. The project became BTS’ seventh No. 1 album in the United States, but its longevity has proven to be just as remarkable as its opening week.

ARIRANG also represents a defining moment in BTS’ career beyond the charts. The album is the group’s first studio release since Be (2020) and their first full-length project following every member’s completion of mandatory military service. Expectations surrounding the comeback were immense, and the seven-member group responded with a record that blends hip-hop, pop, alternative R&B, synth-pop, EDM and traditional Korean musical influences.

An extensive list of collaborators helped shape the project, including Pdogg, Diplo, El Guincho, Ryan Tedder, Jasper Harris, Kevin Parker, Mike Will Made-It, Artemas and JPEGMafia.

Outside the United States, ARIRANG debuted at No. 1 in more than 25 countries, becoming BTS’ best-selling Korean-language album in Japan while also topping charts across the United Kingdom and several other European markets. The album additionally shattered multiple streaming records across Spotify and Apple Music during its opening week.

BTS have continued supporting the record with the Arirang World Tour, which launched in April and is scheduled to run through March 2027. The stadium trek has kept the album firmly in the spotlight, helping sustain its momentum months after release.
