It’s time to refresh your playlist with some exciting new releases!
October starts with new music from none other than Taylor Swift! The pop superstar takes the spotlight this week, monopolizing New Music Friday with her highly anticipated twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. The LP marks a return to her pop roots, departing from the more introspective tone of The Tortured Poets Department. Leading this return are Max Martin and Shellback, who reunite with Swift for the first time since Reputation. The 12-track project arrives with the lead single “The Fate of Ophelia.” In addition, fans’ eyes and ears are also tuned to the title track, which features Swift’s protégé, Sabrina Carpenter.
While Swift dominates the spotlight, there’s still plenty of new music in this month’s opening weekend. Kali Uchis expands the tracklist of her recent album with the Sincerely, PS edition, featuring a new collaboration with Mariah The Scientist. Bryson Tiller completes his double album Solace and The Vices with the second installment, Solace. In addition, as we officially enter Country Music Month, several of the genre’s biggest names are dropping new material, from Luke Combs to Megan Moroney.
