In a week defined by blockbuster releases, Louis Tomlinson’s new single “Lemonade” has emerged as a clear fan favorite. Despite fierce competition from Taylor Swift, Bryson Tiller, and Kali Uchis, Tomlinson’s comeback track topped our weekly new release poll on X (formerly Twitter) with an overwhelming 91% of the votes.
The survey, posted shortly after Friday’s global releases, featured four notable drops: Taylor Swift’s record-breaking album The Life of a Showgirl, Bryson Tiller’s Solace, Kali Uchis’ Sincerely, PS, and Louis Tomlinson’s “Lemonade.” While Swift’s latest era dominated headlines with staggering first-day sales, it was Tomlinson’s loyal fanbase that carried the poll, pushing “Lemonade” to a landslide victory. Swift followed with 8%, and Uchis’s deluxe project rounded out the list with 1%.

Released on September 30, “Lemonade” marks Tomlinson’s long-awaited return and the lead single from his third solo album, How Did I Get Here?—set for release on January 23, 2026 via BMG. The track, co-produced with Nico Rebscher, channels bright, festival-ready pop energy, balancing upbeat melodies with lyrics about the sweetness and sting of love.
Tomlinson’s win comes during one of the busiest release weeks of the year. Taylor Swift’s twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, dropped on October 3 via Republic Records and quickly shattered multiple industry records—selling 2.7 million units on its first day in the U.S. The pop-driven album also broke numerous streaming records on Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, and iTunes.
Also out this week, Bryson Tiller’s Solace—the introspective companion to his rap-leaning project The Vices—sees the R&B artist return to his emotional roots. Meanwhile, Kali Uchis expanded her acclaimed Sincerely with Sincerely: PS, a deluxe edition filled with soulful new tracks including “Cry About It!” featuring Ravyn Lenae.
