In one standout shot, Chappell is seen wearing a long, bright red wig that dramatically flows over a balcony—suggesting that her signature theatrical visuals will once again play a major role in this next era. While Chappell Roan has not officially announced the song, fan-sourced video confirms that the production was a full-scale shoot.

“The Subway” was first teased by Chappell in June 2024, when she changed her Instagram profile picture to the Subway logo. She later debuted the song at Governors Ball 2024 and described it as “a fun song to sing” during her set at Bonnaroo 2024.
