After teasing and performing an unreleased track last week at Coachella 2024, Ice Spice has officially announced her new single, “Gimme a Light.” The song is set to be released in two weeks, on May 10th.

Last night, Ice Spice took to the Sahara Stage at Coachella for the festival’s second week. The rapper treated the audience to performances of her biggest hits, including the breakout single “Munch,” “Princess Diana,” and “Deli.” During her set, she also gave a second performance of the upcoming single “Gimme a Light.” Before launching into her verses on the remix of “Karma,” the 24-year-old artist took a moment to share her thoughts on Taylor Swift‘s “The Tortured Poets Department.” “Have you all heard Taylor’s new album yet?” she asked the crowd. “Shoutout to Taylor Swift. My good sis!”
Ice Spice’s highly anticipated debut studio album, “Y2K,” is expected to be released later this year. The New York rapper recently confirmed that she has finished recording it, and since February 8th, CDs and LPs are available for pre-order on her official website. Two singles off the album have already been released: “Pretty Girl,” featuring vocals from Rema, and “Think U The Shit (Fart).” The latter went viral on TikTok and peaked within the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100.
‘Gimme A Light’ will serve as the third single from the album. Fans can pre-save Ice Spice’s new single on all streaming platforms.
