Doja Cat has never softened her point of view, and her latest message to fellow celebrities is no exception. In a blunt TikTok post that quickly went viral, the Grammy-winning artist urged public figures to rethink how much of themselves they give away online, arguing that constant visibility is eroding the very intrigue that once defined stardom.
“If you’re a celebrity, shut the f-ck up. Nobody wants to hear your f-cking sh-t,” Doja said in the video. “Be mysterious. Stop letting people in on your life. Have more mystique. The more they see of you, the less they’ll want.”
Doja’s reference to “mystique” echoes the aura once associated with past icons, when access was limited and public appearances were carefully curated. Figures like Prince, David Bowie, and Madonna built mythology through distance as much as through output. By contrast, today’s celebrities often share daily thoughts, private frustrations, and behind-the-scenes moments in real time.
Meanwhile, Doja Cat remains focused on her tour duties. She is currently in the midst of her Tour Ma Vie World Tour, having launched the Latin American leg on February 5. The run includes dates across Brazil, Chile, Peru, Colombia, and Mexico.
