Ken Carson’s new album is off to a strong start on streaming. Just one day after its release, XPERIMENT posted one of the biggest Spotify debuts for a rap album in 2026.

According to opening-day Spotify data, XPERIMENT generated 15.65 million streams globally, giving it the sixth-biggest first-day debut for a rap album released in 2026. The performance continues Carson’s steady commercial rise after More Chaos debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in April 2025 with 59,500 equivalent album units.

Leading the album’s early streaming numbers is “deaf note,” Carson’s collaboration with Playboi Carti. The track debuted at No. 169 on Spotify’s Daily Global Chart with more than 1.3 million streams, while also landing at No. 25 on the US Spotify Chart, making it the project’s biggest breakout on day one.

Released on July 3, XPERIMENT spans 22 tracks and features an extensive lineup of collaborators, including Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug, Destroy Lonely, 2Hollis, and Carti.

Promotion for the project began on June 14 with a cinematic teaser that introduced the album’s unsettling laboratory-inspired aesthetic. The visual featured doctors repeatedly marking an “X” across a patient’s body, establishing the darker identity that now defines the record.
