Lady Gaga has claimed another fan-voted victory. Through InMusic’s latest X poll, “Shape of a Woman” was crowned Best New Release of the Week following a competitive May 1 release slate that included new music from Madonna, Sabrina Carpenter, Zara Larsson, and Kacey Musgraves. Gaga’s latest earned 53% of the vote, decisively outperforming Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Bring Your Love,” which secured 40%, while Zara Larsson’s Midnight Sun: Girls Trip and Kacey Musgraves’ Middle of Nowhere trailed with 6% and 1%, respectively.
This is far from Gaga’s first time claiming the title. Fans first showed their support in 2024, when “Die With a Smile” was voted Best New Release of the Week, followed by Harlequin winning the same honor in September. In 2025, the Mayhem era proved just as dominant. “Abracadabra” took the crown in early February, while the album itself secured the title a month later.
Now, Gaga earns the fifth win of her career in InMusic’s weekly poll. “Shape of a Woman,” one of three original songs she recorded for The Devil Wears Prada 2 soundtrack, continues that streak. Released on May 1, the track surpassed 1 million Spotify streams in its first full day.

Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Bring Your Love,” however, proved to be Gaga’s strongest challenger. The disco-pop collaboration debuted with 2.465 million Spotify streams globally, significantly outperforming “Shape of a Woman” in raw opening-day consumption and landing at No. 34 on Global Spotify. Its 40% showing in the poll indicates substantial fan approval, especially given Madonna’s legacy appeal and Sabrina’s unstoppable momentum. The track’s Coachella preview and Confessions II anticipation likely fueled its strong support.
Zara Larsson’s Midnight Sun: Girls Trip entered the race more as a full-project remix event than a singular song moment, which may explain its 6% result despite strong streaming traction and a major boost to Larsson’s monthly Spotify audience. The deluxe set’s collaborative ambition features PinkPantheress, Tyla, Shakira, and Kehlani.
